Oppfunnet av John McCarthy, ble begrepet "kunstig intelligens" først brukt i 1956. AI har gradvis blitt brukt i stor utstrekning, uansett hvor det samme ble funnet å være aktuelt.

ML, on the other hand, is the learning which involves a machine learning on its own without being specifically programmed for the same. In ML, the system can learn automatically, improving from its own experiences. 

 

While AI and ML are not the same thing, ML can definitely benefit from AI.
